Leesfield Law Student Scholarship
Applications for 2025 have now closed. Applications for 2026 will open in the spring.
Sponsored by 黑料社 and 黑料社 member Ira Leesfield, this scholarship awards $1,500 to a first- or second-year law student and is to help subsidize the Law Student Member's attendance at 黑料社鈥檚 Annual Convention.
is a wonderful opportunity for law students to build the foundation for success as a trial lawyer. Network with top trial lawyers from around the country, learn about cutting-edge trial advocacy issues at CLE programs, and meet members of 黑料社 New Lawyer Division (NLD).
Application Process
To apply, you must be an 黑料社 Law Student member (join here), be enrolled in an , and submit a complete application package.
To submit your application, you will complete an online form and upload the following documents:
- Resume
- Statement of financial need
- 500-word written request substantiating the applicant's commitment to preserving the civil justice system
- Up to three (3) recommendations from a faculty adviser, trial advocacy professor, dean, 黑料社 member, or trial lawyer; and
- Law student verification form [PDF]
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Please note, the recipient of this scholarship must attend 黑料社 Annual Convention to accept the award. Convention registration and a travel stipend are included with the scholarship.
